There are many different opinions on the celebration of this holiday. Many people exchange cards, candy, gifts, flowers or more, with their special Valentine. They make it an extra special day and that’s wonderful.
Then there are those who don’t celebrate. They say it’s just another day for stores, restaurants, the greeting card company’s, etc. to make money.
Some feel pressured to buy something, even though they really don’t want to. Others feel left out or unwanted if they don’t have a special “valentine.”
Growing up I thought Valentine’s Day was about a school party. I would write on little valentine cards and attach suckers that I was going to give to my classmates. Poor teachers! Another day of kids being hyped up on cupcakes & chocolate.
My husband and I don’t make a big deal out of V-day. I had rather receive flowers on a day that I don’t expect them. We try to do special things throughout the year.
However, I do give something small to my grandchildren. It is an excuse to give them chocolate and maybe their parents will allow them to have it. 😬
So today will not be much different in our home. We may give each other a card but that’s about it. We will eat supper & watch Netflix together, as we do every other night. That being said, we are very much in love, we have been each others “Valentine” for 33 years.
Valentine’s Day is all about LOVE!!
And now these three remain: faith, hope, and love. But the greatest of these is love.

HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY❤️
